On December 23rd 2015 we first blogged about The Hoxton, which will be the London based companies first U.S. location. There has been tremendous progress with this project at 97 Wythe Avenue and opening is set for 2017.
The 150 room Williamsburg Hotel opened for business in January and they are offering high tea and an introduction to the neighborhood. There is a roof top bar that has not been completed yet. Prices for the rooms start at $230.00 per night.
The POD Hotel located at 626 Driggs Avenue is a project being developed by Richard Born who has built Manhattan Boutique Hotels. The rooms will be 100 square feet in size, hence the name POD Hotel.
On May 2nd 2015 we first blogged about plans for a 183 room 23 story William Vale Hotel located at 111 North 12th Street. The William Vale has a lot to boast about. There is a 22nd floor rooftop bar named Westlight which has walls of glass from floor to ceiling and a completely spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline. There is still work going on in the hotel where one space will be turned into a donut shop called Du’s Donuts and Coffee Shop. The donut shop will be run by Chef Wylie Dufresne, a James Beard Award winning Chef. Leuca, the Italian restaurant next to the William Vale’s lobby and Westlight the rooftop bar will be run by Chef Andrew Camellini. Amenities at The William Vale are all 183 rooms with balconies, a 60 foot outdoor swimming pool and a ballroom that can hold 315 people.
