Greenpoint is becoming a first choice for hipsters and young professionals to live in. The vibe of the Greenpoint neighborhood is hip yet much more low key than Williamsburg. In particular the waterfront area, centered around West Street currently has an abundance of new projects in the works.

50 Greenpoint Avenue, where a 7 story, 44 unit apartment building is planned. The architect is Karl Ficher.
44 Kent Street, where a six story building with 42 units is planned. The developer is One Zero One LLC, which paid $8.75 M for the site in 2014.
45 India Street where a small 4 story, 6 unit building is planned. The developer is Kenry Corp.
160 West Street, corner of Huron Street is where a condominium development called The Gibralter is planned and underway. This building will be 6 stories high and have 13 units. Developer Saddle Rock Equities bought the site for $4.5M in 2014. A penthouse apartment in the building may be sold for $2.1M or roughly $1,482.00 per square foot.
10 Huron Street/ 145 West Street, where a large project is planned for a 39 story tower with 500 apartments. Palin Enterprises has partnered with Mack Real Estate Group on this project.
Also planned are three affordable apartment buildings. The developers are Park Tower Group and L & M Development. 33 Eagle Street will have 98 apartments, 5 Blue Slip will have 103 apartments and 21 Commercial Street will have 93 apartments. There will be retail space in each of the three buildings.
