The residential housing market continues to grow, for example there are three condominium buildings being developed at 760, 764 and 767A Bergen Street, between Grand and Washington Avenues.
Developer Bob Hinez and Wu Chen, in charge of design and planning will build each building 4 stories high, with 8 units in each. 767A Bergen is the smallest of the three buildings with 5,492 s.f. and each unit will be 686 s.f. in size.
760 and 764 Bergen will have 4 apartments for each floor with two penthouse duplexes on the 4th floor. These buildings will have 16 spacious 929 square foot apartments. The developer is projecting sales at $1,000 per square foot.
Work on 760 and 764 Bergen Street is projected to be completed by Winter of 2015.

For coffee lovers there is Little Zelda located at 728 Franklin Avenue, Breukelen Coffee House located at 764 Franklin Avenue, Tinto located at 715 Nostrand Avenue and Elsie’s Parlor located at 667 Classon Avenue, which was the old Crosby Coffee shop. Elsie’s will be re opening soon.
Glady’s restaurant located at 788 Franklin Avenue is a neighborhood old favorite for West Indian influenced Carribean Cuisine.
Elsie’s donuts located at 1031 Bergen Street is a new comer to Crown Heights and serves up deliciously amazing choices of donuts.
Barboncino located at 781 Franklin Avenue is the neighborhood gourmet Pizza place. They also serve cocktails and you can catch live Jazz music there on Tuesday nights.
The Crabby Shack located at 613 franklin Avenue is the go to restaurant in the neighborhood for Seafood.
Chavela’s located at 736 Franklin Avenue is known for great Mexican food.
Dutch Boy Burger located at 766 Franklin Avenue is Burger and Shake heaven.
Café Rue Dix located at 1451 Bedford Avenue is a cozy corner restaurant serving French Senegalese influenced cuisine.
Berg’N located at 899 Bergen Street is a Beer and Food Hall serving Smorgasburg favorites.
